Terms of Service

Plain terms for a simple product. Using LedgerOS means you accept these.

What LedgerOS is — and is not

LedgerOS helps you capture receipts, track business spending and organise records by BAS quarter.

It is not accounting, taxation, financial or legal advice. It does not lodge your BAS. Figures it produces — including GST read from a photo or estimated from a total — are estimates for you to verify. You are responsible for what you lodge with the ATO. If the numbers matter, check them against the receipt and talk to a registered tax agent.

Your account

Keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for activity on your account. One account is for one person. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has access.

Plans and payment

  • The free plan allows 10 receipts and does not store receipt images.
  • Pro is A$12.99 per month or A$129 per year, in Australian dollars, including GST.
  • Pro starts with a 7-day free trial. You are not charged until it ends.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.
  • Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
  • Subscriptions bought through Google Play are billed by Google under Google's terms, and must be cancelled through Google Play.

Cancelling

Cancel any time from Settings. There is no notice period and no exit fee. You keep Pro until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you are not charged again.

We do not generally refund part-periods, because you keep full access for the period you paid for. If something has gone wrong, email us — we would rather sort it out than argue about it.

Nothing here limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, including remedies where a service is not supplied with due care and skill.

Your data

Your records are yours. Export them as CSV at any time, without charge. Deleting your account deletes them, immediately and permanently — export first if you may need them.

If a subscription lapses, stored receipt images are kept for 90 days in case you return, then deleted. Receipt details remain and stay exportable. See the Privacy Policy.

Availability

We work to keep LedgerOS running but do not promise uninterrupted service. Maintenance, outages at our hosting provider, and bugs happen. Because of that — and because it is sound practice regardless — keep your own copies of anything you would be unable to replace.

Acceptable use

Don't use LedgerOS to break the law, don't attempt to access other customers' data, and don't attack the service. We may suspend an account for any of these, and will tell you why.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim connected with LedgerOS is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for penalties, interest or losses arising from figures you lodged without checking them.

Changes

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you we will email you before it takes effect. Price changes for existing subscribers are notified at least 30 days ahead, and you can cancel before they apply.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
